About

Having such a profound work ethic and ambitious nature to perform in public, Daniel Aztatzi finds professional opportunities to work with various Orchestras in Mexico and in Europe such as the Orchestra of Chimalhuacán, Carlos Chavey Symphony Orchestra, L'Orchestre de Chambre de Genève (L'OCG), Swiss Youth Symphony (SJSO) and the United Nations Orchestra and in several chamber orchestras of Switzerland Romande as  as well as under the direction of Nathalie Stutzmann,Gábor Takács-Nagy, Pierre Bleuse and Ton Koopman.  Outside of performing in orchestras, you can find  Daniel Aztatzi performing with other musicians and bands in local music venues and street performances with Les Pinsons Divers, a concerto of three violinists,  Guy Mauve, a jazz folk band and in his duo, "Les Incontournables" in which he plays the double bass, guitar and sings a few songs. Les Incontournables, was formed to introduce Mexican music to the public of Switzerland and give it a classical spin with the repertoire of traditional Mexican and Latin American music. Inspired by the percussion beat of "Cafe con Pan," Aztatzi writes and sings his own songs performing them occasionally for friends, or keeping them to himself in his journals.

Daniel Aztatzi is an artist that finds inspiration in everyday life, traveling, and human encounters. Performing is his way to share his musical experiences with other musicians and to leave behind a trace of his existence.

"Daniel Aztatzi evokes a sensual tone that is deeply rooted in his Mexican heritage and his heightened sensibility to the harmonic complexities in music and the poetic nature of life," Daniela Garza.
